  36. Don't know about the 4.0 demo... I have dl'd it, but I can't use it
  37. yet (explaination in a bit).  The Chameleon 3.11N that ships with the
  38. Windows Internet Tour Guide Book that you mentioned looks really neat.
  39. Unfortunately, it does not support any form of authentication.  My
  40. school is pretty tight about security, so they are not going to allow
  41. PPP connections without authentication and they are specifically
  42. pushing PAP.  The new chameleon 4.0X supports CHAP, so I'm hoping I
  43. can use that.  Anyway, the point of this is that you had better check
  44. with your provider and make sure that they aren't requiring
  45. authentication if you plan on using Chameleon.

  70. If anyone has any suggestions on the following, I would greatly 
  71. appreciate it:
  72.     I am attempting to establish contact through a SLIP connection.  
  73. My winsock does not seem to be working properly.  For example, when using 
  74. ws_ping ten packets are sent out and zero are received amounting to a 
  75. 100% packet loss.  Also, nothing else seems to work (like Cello, Mosaic 
  76. or Wgopher...).  Any comment might help ease my frustration. Thanks!
